As a budget traveler, I’ve slept in lots of weird places.
I once slept in a police car in Malaysia. On a fruit farm in New Zealand. A pig farm in Vietnam. I even spent a night sleeping next to a rescued pygmy loris in Cambodia.
Here’s a picture of me in my digs in the Dutch town of Sint-Michielsgestel. A one-hour train ride from Amsterdam, I was here to visit my dear friend Karin and her partner Manuel in their humble town. They invited me to stay in their house and this is the totally awesome bed they set me up in – a fully functioning tanning bed that doubles as a BED bed! Woo!
