Machine Guns & Ostriches & Sand Dunes, Oh My!

It’s been awhile since my last post. But there’s a good reason, I promise! I finally got off my ass and stepped outside Saigon to explore more of southern Vietnam.

Took a gorgeous roadtrip through the Central Highlands, went jet-skiing in the South China Sea and ohhh…a couple other things:

Rode an ostrich in Nha Trang. Giddy up, birdie!

Crawled through the Củ Chi Tunnels.

Fired an M60 like a boss.

Got a taste of the K’ho mountain village culture in Đà Lạt.

Went sandboarding in Mũi Né. Bahhhahaha, these photos crack me up.

And fell in love with yet another elephant.

There is so much to see and do in Vietnam, and I haven’t even covered half the country yet. Good thing my visa doesn’t expire til the end of the year!

***Many thanks to the wonderful Chú Phương ***

Thy… you (and Elizabeth Gilbert of Eat Pray Love) have inspired me to follow in your footsteps. In less than a year from now, I’ll be on that side of the world to do some soul searching. Thank you for your inspiration and for sharing your amazing journey! I can’t wait to get started on mine!
